  • CFD4NRS, 10- 12 December 2025, Ibaraki, Japon

FLUIDYN presented two articles at CFD4NRS (Computational Fluid Dynamics for Nuclear Reactor Safety) in Japan:

    • NUMERICAL SIMULATION OF AN EXPERIMENTAL PARAMETRIC STUDY OF PARTICLE MIXING INSIDE A DUCT, in collaboration with ORANO, focusing on particle-mixing simulation inside a duct to optimize sampling-point positioning for reliable radionuclide measurements.
    • MODELING UNCERTAINTY IN CFD SIMULATIONS USING INTERVAL ARITHMETIC: RADON FLUX CALCULATION AS A CASE STUDY, in collaboration with the SRM Institute of Science and Technology (India), addressing uncertainty modeling in CFD using interval arithmetic, artificial neural networks (ANN), and particle swarm optimization (PSO) for radon flux prediction.

  • Research Article presented at the ICMASMTP Conference

A research article on FVM Simulation Study for Dispersion Pattern of Indoor Thoron Gas Using CFD Modeling was presented at the International Conference on Modeling, Analysis and Simulations of Multiscale Transport Phenomena, 2025 by the Department of Physics, National Institute of Technology, Kurukshetra, Haryana, India. This study was done using Fluidyn’s Multiphysics CFD software Fluidyn MP. 

  • Publication in Process Safety and Environmental Protection – August 2025

Research Article ‘Effect of liquid water on methane deflagration characteristics in municipal sewage pipeline ‘ published in Process Safety and Environmental Protection by Beijing Institute of Petrochemical Technology, North China Institute of Science and Technology, Hebei and University of Science and Technology Beijing. Fluidyn MP was used to conduct this study.

  •  IICAQM Conference, IIT Madras, 18 – 20 December 2024

Fluidyn proudly participated in the esteemed IICAQM (International Conference on Air Quality Management), hosted by IIT Madras. As part of the conference, we were honored to present an invited talk titled “Optimizing Sensor Locations, Source Detection, and Real-Time Air Quality Forecasting Using Advanced Simulation Tools.” Our presentation highlighted Fluidyn’s innovative CFD solutions, focusing on sensor placement optimization, emission source detection, and real-time air quality forecasting. We are grateful for the opportunity to contribute to global discussions on sustainable approaches to tackling air quality challenges.

  • Fluidyn at TechConnect, IIT Bombay, 19 December 2024

Fluidyn participated in the faculty-industry interaction session organized by the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at IIT Bombay on December 19, 2024. This session, part of TechConnect-2024, aimed to strengthen collaborations between academia and industry, facilitating the transformation of research into impactful, real-world solutions. Fluidyn is proud to play a role in advancing translational research initiatives and fostering innovation.

  • HARMO22, Pärnu, Estonia – 10 – 14 June, 2024

Fluidyn participated in the 22nd International Conference on Harmonisation within Atmospheric Dispersion Modelling for Regulatory Purposes

On this occasion, Fluidyn presented the following research papers:

·         Calculating high resolution CO2 emission maps at city scales and in time scales needed for net zero emission targets using data inversion modelling (with EVERIMPACT)

·         Application of CFD modelling for the performance of mitigation solution and impact reduction on landfill in windy environment

  • Clean Air and Energy Efficient Ventilation for Paris Olympics 2024

The Paris 2024 Summer Olympic Games were designed with sustainability in mind, aiming for minimal carbon impact. Key initiatives included,  providing high-quality water in the River Seine for swimming, ensuring almost no air pollution in the stadiums, and minimizing energy consumption for air-conditioning at the Olympic Village.

Fluidyn played a key role in achieving the last two objectives. The award-winning French technology developed by Fluidyn was used to identify pollution sources and improve air quality within the stadiums. Additionally, Fluidyn’s proprietary air quality tool for ventilation was employed to optimize air-conditioning in athletes’ rooms and other facilities, utilizing fractionated ventilation for enhanced energy efficiency.

  • Dr. Amita Tripathi, Technical Director at Fluidyn France, has been appointed as a member of CentraleSupelec’s Scientific Committee, effective April 2024.

CentraleSupelec, one of France’s prestigious engineering institutions known for its significant contributions to engineering and science, has recently announced the appointment of Dr. Amita Tripathi, Technical Director at Fluidyn, to its esteemed Scientific Committee for the next four years.

  • Ventilation Optimization Study for the Statue of Oneness, Omkareshwar

Fluidyn carried out the integrated thermal analysis of the 108-ft Statue of Oneness using its in-house CFD software. The study ensured structural integrity, optimized the HVAC system, and evaluated the statue’s thermal performance under realistic environmental conditions.

  • Publication of research article by the Indian Academy of Sciences – March 2024

Research article on “Investigation of urban air quality using CFD simulation at traffic congested hot spots” was published by the Indian Academy of Sciences in the research journal Sadhana by the College of Engineering, Trivandrum and the A P J Abdul Kalam University, Kerala.  This air quality study was done using Fluidyn-PANACHE.

  • Réunion Island Inaugurates the First Bioclimatic Terminal in a Tropical Environment – March 2024

Réunion Island, a French department in the Indian Ocean, has inaugurated the first bioclimatic terminal in a tropical environment. On March 26, 2024, Roland Garros Airport opened the doors to its new bioclimatic terminal dedicated to arrivals. Fluidyn was commissioned by AIA Environment, responsible for the environmental expertise of the project, to assess atmospheric dispersion and the impact of odor emissions on the West Terminal Project. For this study, Fluidyn employed its advanced 3D atmospheric dispersion modeling tool, Fluidyn-Panache.

  • Publication of Research Article in the Journal of Physics – 2024

A paper presented by Fluidyn and its client Vibratec at the 7th International Conference on Noise, Vibration, and Comfort in December 2023 in Kuala Lumpur has now been published in the Journal of Physics, Conference Series Vol. 2721. The paper, titled Globe Valve in Single-Phase Flow: Experimental and CFD Analysis,” explores the findings of their collaborative research.

  • Trade Fair for Industrial Analysis and Process Instrumentation Solutions, Paris, 3-4 April 2024

Fluidyn participated in the trade fair on Salon Analyse Industrielle & InstrumentationTrade fair for Industrial Analysis and Process Instrumentation Solutions and gave a conference on: Modelling emissions in the environment (gases, odors, dust, effluents, etcc.) – La modélisation des rejets dans l’environnement (gaz, odeurs, poussières, effluents…).

  • ROOMVENT 2024 Conference, Stockholm – 22- 25 April 2024

Fluidyn presented 3 three research papers in collaboration with Orano Projects at the 17th Roomvent conference -Healthy Air Together at Stockholm:

·         User comfort in a laboratory assessed through CFD simulation (with Orano Projects)

·         Performance assessment and mixing in ventilation outlets using CFD simulation (with Orano Projects)

·         Effect of aerosols on hazardous species distribution

  • Fluidyn’s Contribution to Chandrayaan-3

Fluidyn MP was utilized by ISRO’s Launch Pad Safety and Cryogenics team to tackle various cryogenic flow challenges, contributing to the successful launch of Chandrayaan-3.

Additionally, Fluidyn conducted a risk assessment of accidental spillage of launch vehicle fuel at the Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC) SHAR, one of ISRO’s R&D wings located at Sriharikota. This center is responsible for providing launch base infrastructure for India’s space program. The safety analysis of facilities handling highly flammable rocket propellants was carried out using Fluidyn PANEPR.

  • CAPNAVIR Project: Study on Cruise Ship Pollution in Bordeaux Harbor

The CAPNAVIR project investigates whether cruise ships are contributing to pollution in the Bordeaux harbor. The study aims to assess the environmental impact of cruise ship operations on the local ecosystem.

A news article in Sud Est Eco, France, highlighted the impact of cruise ship emissions on urban harbors. For this study, the CAPNAVIR project collected 1.6 million samples of nine different pollutants during the passage of 14 cruise ships through Bordeaux Harbor, measuring pollution levels.

In collaboration with ADEME, CEREMA, and CNRS, Fluidyn employed 3D CFD modeling to conduct the study. The findings revealed that pollution caused by cruise ships is significantly lower than that generated by urban road traffic.

  • Publication of a research article in the journal Energy Sources – November 2023

Research article on Environmental Effects – Characterizing pulverised coal combustion for high- ash content Indian coalpublished in Energy Sources journal, Vol 46, by engineers from IIT, Dhanbad and SRM Institute of  Science and Technology, Chennai, India. Fluidyn MP is used to conduct the 3D numerical simulations of coal combustion.

  • Publication in Atmospheric Environment – Comparison of different turbulence models for atmospheric dispersion modelling

CFD simulation of pollutant dispersion using anisotropic models: Application to an urban environment under neutral and stable atmospheric conditions. MUST (Mock Urban Setting Test ) validation campaign to compare Fluidyn PANACHE 3D numerical modeling of atmospheric pollutant dispersion with the performance of anisotropic models.

  • India is a Knowledge Leader in Atomic Energy

Atomic energy is a viable, sustainable low carbon source of energy. India is a global leader in nuclear energy. Watch this chat between Myrto Rani Tripathi a nuclear engineer formerly with Areva and now founder and head of Voices For Nuclear, she is based in Paris France and Pallava Bagla a science journalist based in New Delhi. Ms Tripathi was visiting her home town.

  • News article on Contaminant modelling in Korean Steel Industry

Core Convergence (Fluidyn Korean Agency) Hyundai Steel conducted an environmental impact study of contaminants on neighboring residential areas  by predicting the atmospheric diffusion path. For this analysis, Core Convergence built an integrated model of the interior of  Hyundai Steel factory and modelled  atmospheric diffusion of pollutants such as TSP, SOx, and NOx generated from the internal chimney of the steel factory with Fluidyn PANACHE – PANEIA.

Analysis of seasonal variations and dispersion pattern of ambient air pollutants in an urban environment.  Research article following an air quality study with Fluidyn Panache by Fluidyn’s academic clients, Department of Civil Engineering, Sri Krishna College of Engineering and Technolgy, Coimbatore, India.

  • Publication of a research paper in Environmental Science and Pollution Research – February 2023

A CFD based approach to study the deposition and distribution behaviour of 212Pb in a calibration chamber. This research paper was published by BARC-Bhabha Atomic Research Centre and the study used Finite Volume Method (FVM) based code Fluidyn Ventclim to carry out the simulation

  • HARMO 2022 – 27-30 September 2022

At the 21st International Conference on Harmonisation within Atmospheric Dispersion Modelling for Regulatory Purposes held at Aveiro, Portugal, Fluidyn presented:

Fluidyn presented a paper on Numerical Multiphysics for assessing Medical Intervention at the Workshop on  Hydrodynamics on small scales from soft matter to bio engineering, held at IISc, Bangalore, India. 

  • Workshop On Indoor Air Quality Management – 27 November – 1 December 2022

Fluidyn conducted a training session on Air Pollution- Sources and Health Impacts during the Indoor Air Quality Management workshop at the Winter School on Source Apportionment, Modelling and Health Risks organised by the Indian Conference on Air Quality Management at IIT Madras.

  • Publication of a research paper in Atmosphere 2022

A critical analysis of a French regulation for the determination of the minimum industrial chimney’s height has been published by POLITECNICO DI TORINO. The estimation of the concentration has been made through the software Fluidyn-PANACHE. The full thesis report is available here.
