Continuous development and improvement
To keep the FLUIDYN series of software at the state-of-the-art, a high-skilled teams of developers work continuously on improving existing models and methods and increasing the multiphysics ability of our numerical tools through close collaboration with research laboratories and academic institutions. We ensure that the softwares are up to date with the latest know-how by a continuous monitoring of research advances in all fields of physics. The new versions released to client or used internally by our consultancy team undergo extensive verification and validation set of cases against experimental results available in literature or in our own database. The validation results are made available in a validation manual.
Specific tools
The general multiphysics platform, fluidyn-MP, contains all physical models and numerical schemes that are and have been developed over the years. Out of this general software, FLUIDYN has developed a number of application-oriented specific tools. These tools form the FLUIDYN series for environmental impact and hazard consequence modelling and are characterized by :
- a specific preprocessor with a built-in library of objects, import of various data files and the choice of physical parameters directly related to the application ;
- models and numerical schemes that have been chosen and hard-coded for the application, removing the need for the user to identify the correct ones for his/her applications ;
- a post-processing dedicated to the type of results sought and to an easy analysis of the figures and graphs.
