fluidyn-dB is designed as a planning and evaluation tool specifically focusing on the spatial distribution of traffic noise from road network(s). It does simulation of noise propagation in presence of wind and humidity :
Vehicular traffic : design and management of acoustic barriers (buildings, walls, ..)
Industrial noise : external and internal sound management in buildings.
The Road Noise Model is integrated with fluidyn-PANACHE, an exclusive air quality simulation software based on CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) techniques.
It considers the effect of all the topographical/geographical features in noise propagation.
It takes into account the effects of buildings / obstacles in the path of noise diffraction
The attenuation losses due to ground absorption, atmospheric effect, vegetation and adverse weather conditions are taken into consideration.
It can be used to identify the places of lower and higher noise level, so as to design and locate the noise barriers to reduce the noise level to the permissible limits.
The user can visualize the simulation results in 3D view.
