We're using fluidyn-PANACHEPANFIRE to simulate the consequences of an accidental release of liquid, gas or toxic inflammable product and calculates the heat fluxes generated by the combustion of the products, which are stored in storage tanks, as well as the concentration of combustible products like carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide, according to the selected weather conditions. It also makes it possible to simulate the consequences of an accidental release of liquid or toxic inflammable products.
It is used to conduct risk and danger studies, to obtain authorisation for new installations of environmentally sensitive sites for complying with SEVESCO regulations (European directives) .The results of simulation (heat fluxes and concentrations) are presented in 3D and 2D graphic form, where the zones at risk and the threshold toxicity values show the dangers. The graphs (iso-contours or animations) can easily be used to define toxic or dangerous surfaces, in accordance with the limits recommended (the IDLH, LC50), as well as the pressures and heat fluxes emitted by the fire.
