Environmental Modeling for confined spaces

Our consultancy services, under this head, are specially designed to study and model pollution in confined spaces such as rail and road underground and above ground tunnels, deep pit mines, deflagrations and explosions, air conditioning and ventilation in industries and offices, using our software products of fluidyn - VENTIL family. We undertake or help the client undertake following studies:-

Explosions and deflagrations:

  • Modeling of explosions in confined spaces like explosives storages, petroleum refineries, nuclear reactors, petroleum storage and offshore platforms/installations, using 3D simulation software product fluidynVENTEX
  • The study takes into consideration 3dimensional gas explosion and gas dispersion. 
  • It takes care of interaction between the gas flow and complex geometries such as structure, equipment and pipe network.
  • Prediction/calculation of the peak explosion pressure and duration of pressure pulse at specified location and response of the structures subjected to the load from the gas explosion, is considered

Underground Mines:

This is highly customized consultancy service area. We model the pollution and ventilation of under ground coal and metal mines. This covers the dust, solids and radio active emissions and their concentration at different tunnel locations. Mine geometry, mesh and solution to pollutant and ventilation problem is obtained using our software product . fluidyn VENTMINE, a 3D modeling tool of fluidyn VENTIL family.

Underground Rail Tunnels:

This study is done, using our customized software fluidyn VENTUNNEL(Rail). We can take up 3D modeling of underground rail tunnels including validation for design and location of ventilation equipments. This covers the particle dispersion due to friction between rail and wheel and wind directions due to trains passing from different sides.

Road Tunnels:

Road transportation is fraught with pollution due to passing vehicles. It is not only imperative to monitor the pollution level due to emission from passing vehicles and spillages but to control it by proper ventilation, specially in long tunnels. We use our customized software product fluidyn VENTUNNEL(Road) to simulate the condition in road tunnel by 3D modeling of tunnel geometry and predicting accurately, the pollution level at desired points inside the tunnel. We also validate the ventilation design.

Air-conditioning and ventilation:

Our consultancy in modeling of flow pattern of air inside big factories and offices helps the client in many respects.
· This effects a significant saving in equipment cost and energy consumption.
· It helps to reduce the energy consumption of a building by optimizing the air flow and heat exchange. 
· It also helps to improve the indoor air quality by ensuring a proper air circulation 
· It also analyses the continuous or industrial risks by determining the concentration zones of pollutants, gas or particles
To conduct such studies we use fluidyn VENTCLIM, a software exclusively developed for design validation and optimization of air conditioning and air circulation equipment in industries and big office spaces.
