POLLUTANT
DISPERSION IN A NETWORK OF TUNNELS.
fluidyn PANTUNNEL
is a
software for simulation of flows in a network
of underground tunnels. It solves fluid
mechanics equations to simulate the dispersion
of gaseous or particulate pollutants in a
tunnel with complex geometry and ventilation
conditions. initially developed for the
Parisian Transport Corporation (RATP), can be
used to three dimensionally model the impact
of dispersion of pollutants such as those
emitted by combustion engines (CO, NOx, COV,
PM...) or gases released (NH3, NBC
products...)due to accidents in a tunnel or a
network of tunnels.
PANTUNNEL is a fully integrated software
including a pre-processor, a solver and a
post-processor. It is available on all
platforms PC (Dos, Windows) as well as on the
UNIX workstations.

INTEGRATED MODULES

the user can simultaneously access pre and
post-processor as well as the solver
through an interactive graphical menu.

the software has a structure completely
adapted to simulate the flows in cavity.
Contrary to a general internal flow
simulation software PANTUNNEL is
specifically conceived to guide the user
in geoemtry design (closed tunnels,
rectangular, central platform, passage
of vehicles, position of ventilators,
access definition , backstairs...)

interaction with turbulence and phenomena
such as: Breakup, coalescence/agglomeration
taken into account
PRE-PROCESSEUR
Interactive generation of the geometry, the
grid and the boundary conditions.
POST-PROCESSOR
Multiwindows (upto 30 windows): velocity
vectors, isovalues, surface, XY graphs,
video animation, comparisons with different
computational results, results displayed
during simulation..
