fluidyn PANFIRE

A dedicated CFD tool for 3D numerical simulation of combustion of solids and inflammables, flame & smoke propagation and calculation of convection & radiation fluxes

fluidyn PANFIRE is a software module in service of numerical simulation of environmental accidents, such as the combustion of solid products, storages and release of gases and liquids from pressurized and non-pressurized tanks, pipes, joints and valves. It also simulates the consequences of an accidental release of liquid, gases or toxic inflammable product and calculates the heat fluxes generated by the combustion of the products, which are stored in the storage tanks, as well as the concentration of combustible products like carbon monoxide, carbondioxide according to the selected weather conditions.

fluidyn PANFIRE also makes it possible to simulate the consequences of an accidental release of liquid or toxic inflammable products. The results of simulation (heat fluxes and concentrations) are presented in 3D and 2D graphic form. The zones at risk and the threshold toxicity values quantify the dangers. The graphs, iso-contours or animations are easily prepared to define toxic or dangerous surfaces according to limits' recommended such as the IDLH, LC50 as well as the pressures and heat fluxes emitted by the fire.
